The Contra Costa Christian Schools Private Satellite Program (PSP) is designed to partner with homeschool families to enhance the educational opportunities available to these students. The mission of the PSP program is to enhance and combine the best aspects of Christian home education and 21st century classrooms for the students’ success.  CCCS is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and holds membership in Christian Schools International (CSI) and the Association of Christian Schools International.

Our PSP Coordinator, Lilian Im, assists the home teacher with record-keeping and optional testing services for progress. She also helps parents select options off-campus, validates home studies, and verifies an accredited academic transcript. Parents will also receive assistance with curriculum selection, available supplemental resources, and support for differentiating between grade levels.  Our PSP program is well established and results in an accredited transcript, which is crucial for high school students! A unique part of our homeschool program is that PSP students can participate in various on-campus activities, sports, and on-campus classes.

General Information

Philosophy
Home schooling is one way to meet the Biblical mandate to train up children to know the Lord and follow His call to be salt and light in a world desperate for Truth. The Contra Costa Christian School Private Satellite Program takes into account the gifted home teacher, the lifestyle of the family, and the needs of the individual student. It also supports families that seek guidance in homeschooling and provides effective resources that might be otherwise difficult for a family to access. Our PSP Coordinator encourages our homeschooling families and helps make their efforts a success. The Contra Costa Christian community recognizes the unique contributions home schooling makes to our community. We purpose to offer as many services and opportunities as possible to our PSP families.

Lilian Im, the Private Satellite Program (PSP) Director, understands the importance of navigating several subjects, grade levels, and students to a successful destination. She is a 10-year homeschooling veteran of her two children and a former school teacher of many other children.  She has used a variety of curriculum over the years to educate her children but none more so than the Bible. As a homeschool mom with guidance from mentors, she set a course to train her children to be followers of Jesus Christ and leaders in their sphere of influence.  Lilian is delighted to be part of the team of educators at CCCS and facilitate support for the homeschool families. She believes this school campus is a gem for the Christian parents who desire their children to shine like stars in the universe as the school program assists parents to reach their goals for academic, social, and spiritual success.

Lilian grew up in a Christian home. She earned a BA in Liberal Studies/Elementary Education at La Sierra University in Riverside, California and has a California, Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential.  She later completed a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in La Sierra University. She taught second grade in the island of Palau and worked as Administrative Director of the Adventist Volunteer Center in Silver Springs, Maryland.
